Madyson, Ada, Oklahoma, studying Theater: To have momentum support is great. They help me stay on track with myself of healthy needs and with my walk with the Lord. To have Janey is more she is a blessing from the Lord her love and kindness to all and to help anyone and everyone is something to strive for.

Anna, Crescent, Oklahoma, majoring in mass communication: media production: Momentum means everything to me! I know if I ever need anything Janey and momentum are there!

Emma, Ada, Oklahoma, studying Kinesiology: Janey and Momentum’s support not only for the team but for myself means a lot because sometimes you just need someone to talk to about classes or life and Janey and everyone in momentum always has a listening ear and will always figure out a way to help out.

Aidyn, Perry, Oklahoma, majoring in Nursing: What momentum does for me as a student and athlete is a place to feel welcomed and loved by people far away from home. It has also given me a place to come and study and connect with other ECU students.

Daisy, Duncan, Oklahoma, and majoring in social work, with plans to pursue a master's in medical social work: Momentum is helping me grow in community and deepen my faith throughout my college journey. I’m very thankful for all the opportunities and connections I have through Momentum.

Harmony, Morris, Oklahoma, and majoring in Ecology: Janey and Momentum’s support means a lot to me because I feel comfortable expressing myself and interacting with others. Overflow Worship is very similar to how my church at home is so it helps me not get as homesick.

Zoey, Ada, Oklahoma, studying Nursing: Momentum has given me great fellowship like my mentor Mrs. Patty and Janey has also had my back and been an encouraging figure.

Abbie, Ringling, Oklahoma, studying Music Education: Having Janey as my character coach has granted me confidence in my leadership abilities as well as provided me and other section leaders with a safe space to reflect on our frustrations and excitements that we were experiencing during marching season. I really looked forward to our meetings every week. I believe it made me a better leader, peer, and person all around! Thank you for helping us out this semester and always being there!! I appreciate you and I know my fellow section leaders do too!

Hayden, Okemah, Oklahoma, and majoring in Nursing: Having momentum this semester has been great and I feel closer with my team. Having momentum as a student is great as I feel like I will always have a place I can go to and not feel judged and people who will listen to me when I have a problem, whether it’s school or personal.

Mason, Enid, Oklahoma and receiving a Masters of Water Resource Policy & Management: Momentum has introduced me to new people from a variety of different backgrounds. The friendships and help that Momentum provides have been a blessing to the Ada and ECU community. Growing a community and in Christ has been a highlight of my time at ECU.

Zoey, Ada, Oklahoma, majoring in Nursing: I love momentum for its care and dedication to the students of ECU and myself personally. Mrs. Janey has been an encouraging and caring figure to me, always having my back, and even providing me a mentor so I can be the best version of myself with an accountability partner!

Ava, majoring in Nursing from McAlester, Oklahoma: Having Janey for support helps me to remind myself that I’m capable. I like coming together on Mondays and talking about our practice or just even how school is going!

Eli, music major from Pauls Valley, Oklahoma: It’s nice to have another person from the outside know what’s going on. Made the whole thing a little more tolerable

Copper, Chickasha, Oklahoma, studying Nursing: It is such a comfort to know that I have Janey as a pillar of support. Her willingness to help in any way she can truly means the world to me not only as a cheerleader but also as a student.

Izzy, Tuttle, Oklahoma, studying Psychology: Janey and Momentum gave me a place when I felt lost and helped pull me closer to God in a loving, nonjudgmental way. The genuine fellowship here has been such a blessing in my walk with Christ. Janey teaches people how to go deeper in the Word and become better humans often without even realizing it. I’m forever thankful for her and the family I gained through Momentum.

Yisrael, Tacoma, Washington, studying Mass Communications Media: What Janey and Momentum’s support means to me, is family. Being so far away from home I’ve been given a genuine support system that is always there with open arms and something to give. Whether prayer, advice, a plate of food, or just a good time in general. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to have been blessed with such good people in my life that day in and day out believe in me, and I’m excited to see the memories and moments the future brings us.

Paige, nursing major from Dickson, Oklahoma: Having Janey’s support along with Momentum’s ministry has meant so much to me. The constant encouragement, guidance, and faith-filled support make me feel uplifted spiritually and mentally, including on campus, and it has helped me grow in confidence and purpose in all areas of my life.

Diego, majoring in Political science with a minor in communications from Pauls Valley, Oklahoma: Momentum has been a God-given source of encouragement and guidance in my life. They’ve supported me in every way, and I’m truly grateful for how they continue to lift me up and push me forward.

Shaelynn, Maud, Oklahoma, studying Nursing: The support I’ve received from Janey and Momentum has carried me through so much academically and personally. Janey has guided me emotionally and spiritually, and I feel genuinely blessed to have her in my life. Momentum has become my safe haven, whether I’m studying, cooking, or just taking a moment to breathe and reset. No matter what comes my way, I know I can always count on both Janey and Momentum to be in my corner.

Odalys, of Brownsville, Texas, studying Kinesiology: Momentum has been a huge part of my journey here at ECU, they made my transition from student-athlete to Coach so much easier. They helped me trust the process, guided me through many moments of doubt, fear, loneliness, etc.. and for that I couldn’t be more grateful!
